🍽️ Description

Ceramico Arts & Crafts is a beloved pottery studio and ceramics workshop tucked into a quiet corner of La Paz, Iloilo City. What began as Nerissa Luger’s passion project in 1997 has evolved into a fully equipped, solar-powered ceramic studio — complete with imported pottery wheels, slab tables, and kilns.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already familiar with clay, you’ll find a welcoming space to get your hands dirty, learn techniques, and make pieces you can actually take home.

🏆 Highlights
  • Hands-On Pottery Workshops: Options for individual or group sessions; includes wheel-throwing, slab building, glazing, and painting.
  • Authentic Craftsmanship: Handmade pots and ceramics, particularly small pots for succulents and bonsai.
  • Sustainable Studio: Powered by solar energy, demonstrating a thoughtful, eco-conscious setup.
  • Fully Equipped Facility: Imported potter’s wheels, slab tables, kilns — real deal for a proper ceramic workshop.
  • Family-Friendly Learning: Very good for beginners and young learners; instructors are praised for being patient and helpful.
  • Community Bonding: Known to be a great place for thoughtful hangouts, creative dates, or bonding with friends and family.
💡 Why Go
  • To try pottery in a calm, safe, and well-equipped environment — ideal for first-timers and hobbyists alike.
  • For a unique Ilonggo art experience — support a local ceramics studio rooted in the Iloilo craft community.
  • When you want a creative day out: gather friends or family for a workshop + chat + clay.
  • To make your own keepsakes — pieces you create can be used as planters, gifts, or home decor.
  • For a sustainable craft experience — the studio’s solar-powered operations show its commitment to environment-friendly practices.
🧭 Lakatta Tip

Book your pottery session ahead of time (call or message the studio) — slots run out fast especially on weekends. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on, and don’t rush: take the time to mold, shape, and glaze. Ask the instructor to guide you through finishing techniques — it’ll make your piece more durable and beautiful.
